Accessibility
All areas of the building are barrier-free. The main entrance is at ground level - without a ramp. There is also an elevator in the building. The NEST also offers barrier-free hearing - an inductive loop is installed in the auditorium.
Checkroom
Our checkroom is available to all visitors free of charge. We also provide larger lockers for backpacks, school bags and similar items for school classes.
Catering
Our catering partner Ludwig & Adele is pleased to offer you snacks and drinks before the performance and, if necessary, during the interval.
WC
The toilets are located on the first basement floor and can be reached by elevator and via the staircase. The barrier-free toilet is located on the first floor next to the buffet. When leaving the auditorium during the performance, you will be let into the auditorium at the next possible opportunity.
Punctuality
Late arrivals will be admitted to the auditorium if the opportunity arises - however, this may take a few minutes. As this later admission disrupts performances already in progress, we kindly ask you to arrive punctually before the start of the performance if possible.
Photos, videos
For legal reasons, recordings of any kind are unfortunately prohibited during the performance. Photography and filming are permitted before the performance and during the closing applause.
Program booklets
Program booklets for the performance you have attended at NEST can be purchased at NEST and also in the Opera Foyer at the Vienna State Opera.
Cell phones
Not only ringing phones, but also glowing screens are extremely disturbing for visitors. We therefore ask you to leave your cell phone in your pocket during the performance, switch it to flight or theater mode, or turn it off.
