Studiokonzert

In 2020, the Opera Studio was created at the Vienna State Opera as a program for young singers of the highest quality, which is now an indispensable part of everyday artistic life at the Vienna State Opera.

The aim of the program is to promote and maintain singing excellence at a major repertoire house. The program not only provides the State Opera with an early, intensive relationship with the next generation of singers, but also challenges the house to address fundamental questions about quality, tradition and the comprehensive training of singing performers. Many graduates of the first two years are now valued members of the ensemble. The members of the current class can not only be seen in numerous productions on the NEST stage, but also present themselves in two concerts with a specially conceived program of opera and song literature.
