Freier Fall

Since the 2020/21 season, the "labs" of the Vienna State Opera have been developing plays themselves: in the Opera Lab, Dance Lab and the cross-generational CityLab, entire productions are developed over the course of a season. Anyone and everyone can take part; the results will be presented at NEST!

3-2-1 jump! In a few seconds of weightlessness, your breath catches, your ears flutter in the wind and your thoughts swirl around the question "What if?" Before we head at full speed towards what seems to be the end of the world, let's take a look at humanity, existence and fate. Inspired by the new production of György Kurtág's Fin de partie at the Vienna State Opera, the cross-generational CityLab ensemble presents its self-developed music theater performance.
